Control how dates and times appear across your entire organization in Rool. These settings apply to all members and keep everything consistent -- from post schedules to activity logs.
Who can change these settings? Only organization admins. Other team members can view the current settings but cannot edit them.
Getting there
Open your organization Settings.
Select the Date & Time tab.

The Date Format dropdown lets you choose how dates are displayed throughout the app. Pick the style that best matches your region or preference.

Time format
Under Time Format, choose between:
12-hour -- displays times like 3:30 PM (this is the default)
24-hour -- displays times like 15:30
This affects every time shown in the app, including scheduled post times, activity timestamps, and calendar views.
Week start day
The Week Starts On setting determines which day appears first in calendar views (for example, the post scheduling calendar).
Sunday
Monday (default)
Pick whichever convention your team follows.
Live preview
As you adjust any of the settings above, the Preview panel updates in real time so you can see exactly what your dates and times will look like before committing to a change.
The preview shows two examples:
Date only -- e.g., Dec 8, 2025
Date & time -- e.g., Dec 8, 2025 at 3:30 PM
Relative dates
Any team member can click on a date anywhere in the app to toggle it between the formatted date and a relative time like "in 4 days" or "3 hours ago." This preference is personal -- it is saved in the individual user's browser and does not affect anyone else.
Saving your changes
Adjust the settings you want to change.
Click Save Changes.
A confirmation message will appear once the settings are applied.
If you change your mind before saving, click Cancel to revert to the current saved settings.
Frequently asked questions
Will changing the date format affect existing posts or scheduled content? No. The format is purely a display preference. Your content, scheduled times, and all underlying data stay exactly the same -- only how dates appear in the interface changes.
Can individual team members override the organization format? The organization-wide date and time format cannot be overridden per user. However, any user can toggle between the formatted date and a relative time (e.g., "3 hours ago") by clicking on a date.
What is the default if I haven't configured anything? Rool defaults to the Friendly date format (Dec 8, 2025), 12-hour time, with weeks starting on Monday.
